QUICK REFERENCE: Our Vision | Our Mission | CPSN Annual Report The Cerebral Palsy Support Network (CPSN) is an incorporated state-wide self - help public benevolent institution. A committee of management administers the Cerebral Palsy Support Network Inc. Committee members are volunteers who have cerebral palsy themselves, have a family member with cerebral palsy or have an interest in cerebral palsy. In late 1995, a small group of individuals and parents of children with cerebral palsy met and founded the initial support group. Over the years our membership has steadily grown and we provide an extensive range of information and support services to people with cerebral palsy and their families. For many years the committee of management lobbied various government departments for ongoing funding. During this time, the CPSN sustained itself with the kind donations of various individuals, companies and income generated from fund-raising events, its Brokerage Program and small self-help grants. Finally in 2006 it was announced that the CPSN was to receive ongoing Victorian State Government funding through the Dept of Human Services (Disability Division). This has enabled the CPSN to employ a Support and Information Co-Ordinator and provide funds for our office overheads. OUR VISION OUR MISSION The network provides a vital link to information, support and education about the issues and experiences that impact on the lives of people who have a personal experience of cerebral palsy.
